David E. Mullen, Ph.D., is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and psychologist practicing in Sarasota, Florida. He is a clinician and educator, teaching in various Tampa Bay area colleges. "Dr. Carlson's research in Energy Essentials stimulated me to expand into Energy Psychology and further training with Dr. Fred Gallo. This is a major enhancement to my traditional modalities." He has lectured nationally and internationally to audiences of professionals, educators and others on topics pertaining to positive psychology, clinical hypnosis, spirituality and psychotherapy, and balancing our personal and professional lives. Dr. Mullen served as a minister for 10 years before receiving his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Fielding Institute. Dr. Mullen accomplished additional trainings in hypnosis and in energy psychology. In addition to his private practice, he has served at a community health center and as director of a private counseling center, and at a college counseling center. His professional interests include couples therapy, clinical hypnosis, energy psychology, management of anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma; spiritual psychotherapy; and the application of positive psychology in clinical practice. Dr. Mullen is the author of professional articles and the soon-to-be-published book, Happiness: New Truths on an Old Concept. Among his many honors, Dr. Mullen has been in Who's Who in the South and Southeast and Who's Who in Human Services. In the early days of his career, he was in the Jaycees Outstanding Young Men of America.
